EARLY LIFE

Dutton and his wife, Evelyn, had four children together: three sons, one of whom they had adopted, and a daughter. They worked the ranch side by side until Evelyn's passing in 1997. Dutton laid Evelyn to rest on their beloved ranch. Years later, Dutton's father, John Dutton II, succumbed to cancer, having retired from ranching due to declining health. With his dying breath, John urged his son to never relinquish the ranch under any circumstances. Dutton wholeheartedly embraced this promise.
